Miradors de l’Horta opens this Saturday: nine installations to look at the huerta again
The seventh edition of the Carraixet huerta's design and culture festival fills the fields of l'Horta Nord with temporary viewpoints from 17 October to 1 November, with free bike routes, workshops and tastings.

Miradors de l’Horta returns under the motto «Generació conscient, connectant amb la terra» (a conscious generation, connecting with the land). It is organised by Turisme Carraixet, part of the Mancomunitat del Carraixet, and it makes a case we at Terra Madura make every day: València’s peri-urban huerta is a living ecosystem, one of the few left in Europe, not a plot of land waiting to be built on.
Nine viewpoints in the fields. Three professional installations (Basurama, BIJ Arquitectos and Ordinari + Amiguis) and six by students from CEU Cardenal Herrera, UPV, EASD Castelló and EASD València, mentored by Kumi Furió, nituniyo, Trashformaciones and Piano Piano. They are spread across Alfara del Patriarca, Vinalesa, Foios and Bonrepòs i Mirambell. They are places to stop, look at the farming landscape and think about sustainability and food sovereignty. The organisers have published a Google Maps route to visit them.

The Ágora, in Alfara del Patriarca. The Town Hall Gardens are the meeting point and starting point of the guided bike routes every weekend. This Saturday, 17 October, there is a radio programme and a guided route at 11:00 (registration required), the «Connectant amb la terra» workshop at 12:30 and a showcooking with tasting at 13:00. Sunday 18 has been postponed because of the rain, according to the official website.
